Bucket List

My bucket list is something that lies pretty close to my heart. I would love to get everything knocked off, but realistically I know that I'm just going to keep adding on items as I go. That doesn't make it any less fun though to say I completed an item! Speaking of completing an item, in the last two days of summer I was lucky enough to knock off two of the items on my list. Those happened to be "be a bridesmaid" and "fly first class".

I was asked by one of my closest cousin's if I could stay home for an extra week and be one of her bridesmaids at her wedding- and I'm so glad I did! Being able to stand with someone who was one of my closest friends as a child was such a blessing and I couldn't be happier for the bride and groom. They had a beautiful ceremony and from my eyes, everything went perfectly (besides the songs that the bridal party was supposed to dance out to but I'm better at improv anyway).

The second item I completed was one of those that didn't really matter if I checked it off or not. I've flown both by myself and with others multiple times but this flight I got lucky with a deal to upgrade my seat to include three free bags for only 20 or so dollars more! My thoughtful parent's surprised me with it and it was perfect because it was actually cheaper to pay for the upgrade rather than pay for the two bags I already had and the shipping costs that would have had to been paid for what I would have to leave behind.

Do you guys have bucket lists? And if so, what's one item that no matter what you are going to check off?

Fall Fashion

As much as I hate to admit it, fall is in the air! Letting go of summer every year is so difficult but I definitely love me some autumn. Halloween is one of my absolute favorite times of the year. I love decorating my room, picking out my costume, and consuming as much candy corn as humanly possible. This year Luke and I are going as Anna and Sven. We're cute; you can't stop us.

First things first though; fall fashion! I love boots, scarves, cardigans, comfy sweaters, and all that screams let me be comfy. All of these items are perfect for crisp fall weather. Disappointingly, Missouri doesn't have much of a fall. I'm much more used to my home state with its' four seasons. Here's a few outfits close to what I turn to for when the chilly air starts to hit!

Happy fall!

College After Hours

If you were wondering what goes on at college at night, look no further. Right now it's 3 a.m., I have an amazing boyfriend fetching me more to drink, and an already filled out study guide for health that I probably won't read through again. Why you might ask am I still awake on a Monday night when I don't have class until 9:30? It's due to the fact that my i.d. may or may not be sitting on my bed in my dorm room. Hopefully, anyway. I'm not really positive where it is at this point. Luckily for me, at my school the side doors lock at midnight and boy's i.d.'s don't work on the main door after midnight. Brilliant. Times like this are when I miss my partner in crime who used to stay up with me all night at McDonald's at least once a week last year and then let me back into the dorm when I would forget my wallet.

However it makes me think about the things I'm going to remember years from now. I wonder if I'll remember the time I accidentally forgot my i.d. and my awesome boyfriend who loves his sleep willingly gave it up to spend the night with me camped out in McDonald's. If I was a cliche kind of person I would probably be saying YOLO right about now. As cheesy as that sounds, it kind of has some truth in it.

I mean sure, I probably could have gone to bed at ten instead of having a much needed talk with the boy and woken up an hour before my first class in order to get some extra studying in for my test, but nights like these are needed occasionally. Nights like these are the ones that I hope to remember one day.

So YOLO, seize the day, grab the bull by the horns, and whatever else stupid and cliche saying you'd like to hear. You may have had a great night of sleep, but I had a night that I can laugh about.

Or cry. Especially after my test.

Also, Luke says hi.

What to Listen to When Studying

You've probably heard it all by now; some have told you to only strictly listen to instrumentals while other's have sworn by their ear drum breaking beats. I'm here to tell you to have the best of all the worlds! Here's a couple of stations that are a go to for me when I'm studying.

Songza:

Songza is a site I refer to a lot when I don't have any particular song in mind. It's great because it caters to whatever is going on in your life! Like the pictures state, you can choose what time of the day it is, what you're doing, and  then it will give you song suggestions!

8tracks

Another one of those awesome music sites but instead you can instantly play someone's playlist that they have so carefully put together for you!

Rainy Mood

Nothing is better than the sound of rain. I play rainy mood all the time- by itself, with other songs, when I'm sleeping, studying, any time.

Let's be honest, the Gunz Show on idobi radio is probably one of my favorite stations to listen to. I usually have it open when the show is off air, but the interviews are definite perks.

Pandora

I'm sure you knew I wouldn't skip this one! Pandora is one of the easiest music sites to use. Simply put in an artist or song you'd like to listen to, and it will give you songs or artists like it. My favorite stations right now are Disney, Pitch Perfect, Mayday Parade, and love songs.

Other sites worth checking out!

The great thing about these sites are that you can change the music you listen to depending on your mood or activity. Find the music that works for you- whether it be loud, quiet, instrumental, or lyrical. You'll study much better and retain more information if you work with music that you're comfortable with. Even if you don't listen to music and study, that's cool too. :)
